MAKO Wins Gold in the Indigo Design Awards

The Indigo Design Awards is a prestigious awards competition that exists to encourage and promote the creativity of innovative designers, engineers, and design firms around the world. Their award ceremony is held annually in cities renowned for their design prowess, where the nominees are judged by a jury of handpicked innovators in the industry.

The Judges

The judges, aka “the jury,” is made up of a hand-selected panel of incredible design talent such as Alexander Khmelevskiy, a User Experience Design Director with more than 15 years of experience working with highly recognizable brands such as Google, Facebook, Slack, Coca-Cola, and more.

Alex Inanov, a Product Designer with more than ten years of experience working with renowned agencies like IDEO and SYPartners, plus large product companies like Philips, and Yandez. Andreas Panaglotopoulos, a Digital/Creative Strategist who has worked at advertising agencies and digital powerhouses on a series of clients like Volvo, Carlsberg, and the list only continues to impress.

The Categories

Categories range from graphic design, digital design, mobile design, and game design. The winners of the 2019 categories will be celebrated in beautiful Malaga, Spain, the birthplace of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso.

MAKO x Benetti Watch

Award-winning design firm, TriMech Design Solutions (formerly MAKO), is proud to be joining the list of winners in the 3D CAD category for their work on the Benetti Watch. The Benetti Watch was designed by MAKO and created from the finest materials which places itself above its competition.

The concept of the watch was developed from an idea, refined through development and mechanical engineering, and advanced further in prototyping which was then assisted by 3D CAD renderings, hand sketching, concept design, digital sketching, product planning, and package design through to production.

The fashion-forward watch, aesthetically partnered with timeless mechanics and modern design, is an elegant and stylish timepiece at an affordable price. The Benetti Watch was launched through a Kickstarter campaign earlier last year and is now available online.
